Faith communities can serve to model ways in which to effect change for eco-justice, and can provide inspiration to congregants to go out into the world to make change in a variety of ways. There is no neat line between these practices of the community, no neat line between the portion of the work the community does when gathered together and the portion of the work the community does when sent into the world. But there is a distinction, and we present these as two categories of work in which the faith community can engage on eco-justice issues.
